Other Information
Highland County Family and Children First Council (FCFC) connects the dots to eliminate duplication of services and bring resources together for planning, monitoring, and improving outcomes for families and youth.
We provide Service Coordination for a youth and their family to link, organize and arrange services, resources, and supports to assure that families have access to the people, places, and resources that make a difference for them. We will walk with you through the stages of hello, help, healing, and hope. There are no wrong doors for entry, and we want to make sure that no families fall through the cracks of the service system. Youth and families deserve to be heard, understood, feel safe, and believe that things are getting better.
Who is eligible? Youth through the age of 21 who reside in Highland County, who are engaged in multiple systems in the community, are at a high risk for continuous disruptive behaviors, are at risk of a non-emergency out-of-home placement, and/or placed in an out-of-home placement for emergency purposes.
Who can make a referral? An agency, school, or any family voluntarily seeking support can initiate a referral. A parent or guardian may access service coordination for their child/youth and will be offered the services of a Parent Mentor of Family Support Specialist.
